BLACK WRITERS AND FRIENDS GATHERING IN VIRGINIA, June 5, 6 & 7
ALL ROAD LEADING TO VIRGINIA: THE 18th COLLECTION OF BLACK WRITERS IN SOUTHAMTON COUNTY
We are making plans, putting some new additions in place, and maximizing, and upgrading places to accommodate guest; all in preparation to receive brothers and sister who will be with us next June 5, 6 or 7 – maybe all three days.
Independent Black writers, their families, friends and readers of their work are coming to share their experiences as a Black writer. We all have interesting stories about obstacles that were challenges we had to overcome to have a book, or other publication in print. Hearing their stories may re-ignite the drive for some who may have given up their dreams when what must be done was so daunting. There will be experts in Publishing, Printing, Distribution, as well as promoting Black Literature.
Other entrepreneurs, activist, historians and etc. are also invited to come and participate in what is also called “a writers retreat.”
